You have the right to request erasure of your personal data at any time (GDPR Art. 17). This page explains how to delete your Claro account and what happens when you do.

How to Request Deletion
Option 1: Via WhatsApp (recommended)
- Open the WhatsApp chat with Claro from your registered phone number.
- Send:
DELETE ACCOUNT - When prompted, send the same phrase again to confirm.
The second confirmation prevents accidental deletion. Your phone number serves as identity verification — no additional ID is required.
Option 2: Via email
If you no longer have access to your WhatsApp number, email claro@nternet.company with the phone number associated with your Claro account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
What Gets Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove:
- Your Claro contact record (phone number, email).
- Your site record, published website data, and chosen slug — your site goes offline immediately.
- All stored media — profile pictures, gallery images, and link preview images (Cloudflare R2).
- Your conversation history and agent state (Durable Object storage).
- Your subscription records in our database.
Export Your Data Before Deletion
Under GDPR Art. 20, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format. If you would like a copy of your data before deleting your account, contact us at claro@nternet.company and we will provide an export of your site content, uploaded media, and conversation history.
We recommend requesting an export before deletion, as data cannot be recovered once removed.
Active Subscriptions
If you have an active paid subscription, Claro automatically cancels it through Stripe as part of the deletion process. You will not be charged again after deletion. If automatic cancellation fails, we will follow up to resolve it.
Timeline and Confirmation
- Via WhatsApp: deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. Your site goes offline and your data is removed within seconds. You will receive a final WhatsApp message confirming that your account and data have been deleted.
- Via email: we will process your request within 30 days of verifying your identity (Art. 12(3) GDPR). You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete.
GDPR requires us to respond to erasure requests within one month. For automated deletion via WhatsApp, this happens in seconds. The 30-day window applies to email requests that require manual identity verification.
What We Retain After Deletion
GDPR Art. 17(3) permits retention where required by law. After account deletion, we may retain:

Retained records are kept in minimal form and used only for their stated purpose.
Data at Third Parties
We delete all data within our own systems and inform relevant processors of your erasure request (Art. 17(2) GDPR). However, some data may persist at third-party providers:
